Kolkata, 31 January: WEST Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) has finalised the list of candidates who have passed the final interview for recruitment as primary teachers in state government run schools.
Around 1.25-lakh candidates, who came out successful in the written primary teacher eligibility test (TET) held in 2015, had faced the interview from 21 October onwards. The interview was conducted to fill up the notified vacancy for 42,949 teachers.
Board chairman Manik Bhattacharya today evening said that to begin with, they have today declared a list of 12,000 candidates who have cracked the interview. The list of remaining successful candidates would be declared by 05 February Sunday.
The successful candidates are being informed by sending SMS and email, but for reasons not clarified, the list is not being uploaded on the Board website.
Board sources said that they plan to start counseling and issuance of recruitment letters to the successful candidates from 02 February Thursday. The counseling would be held at all the primary school council offices located in the districts.
Besides this, counseling would be conducted at Hastings House at Alipore in Kolkata, Burdwan Town School, and Barno School in Malda.
