“They should stop throwing mud at the door of Raj Bhavan. They should go to the washroom, look into the mirror and remove the dirt off their faces,” Tripathi today categorically said when journalists sought his reaction to the verbal attack by state parliamentary affairs minister and Trinamool secretary general Partha Chatterjee.
The Governor was leaving after attending an event at the Diamond Harbour Women’s University in South 24-Parganas today when he responded to the media query.
Chatterjee had hurled the uncouth attack yesterday at the state Assembly after Raj Bhavan recently sought reports from the administrative and police heads of Malda and Murshidabad districts, bypassing the state government, on the status of Central schemes, functioning of NGOs, and the law and order situation.
